Waffle Café

The smell alone attracts people and sweetens Saturday afternoons when the waffle café in the festival hall of the Diakonissenhaus opens again on the last Saturday of the month for neighbours and residents. You can help out.

You can help bake waffles, set the tables or serve the visitors. The team also prepares the room, sets the tables and covers them, and cleans up afterwards. It is worth it, because there will be many good conversations and people are happy about this special offer of being together.

Time required: regularly monthly on Saturday afternoons with preparation and follow-up about 6 hours

Skills: basic housekeeping skills, willingness to talk, skills in dealing with senior citizens

Further training: Hygiene training at the public health department (costs will be covered)

We offer: Work in a nice team, friendly welcome, honours on anniversaries, joint celebrations and festivities, invitation to church services and events of the Diakonissenhaus

Insurance: You are insured against accidents and liability

Costs: We reimburse any costs incurred. We will gladly reimburse your travel expenses to the amount of an RMV ticket (city area).

Requirements: Openness and pleasure in working with us, curiosity about different kinds of people from our neighbourhood

Minimum age: 18 years
