Data protection

Responsible data protection officer:
Wolfgang Schwarz; Datenschutz@ga-schwarz.de

Introduction

Data is the basis for us to provide excellent service. However, our most important asset is the trust of our customers, partners, supporters and interested parties. Protecting this data and using it only as you expect us to and as prescribed by law is a top priority for us. Therefore, compliance with the legal provisions on data protection is a matter of course for us. Furthermore, it is important to us that you know at all times when we store which data and how we use it.

Data collection + web tracking

We only store your personal data if you provide it to us of your own accord, e.g. in the context of an email enquiry, an enquiry via contact forms, an application or for the performance of a contract. You will be informed in the respective input and contact forms about the purposes of the collection of the data collected there.

Persons under the age of 18 should not submit any personal data to us without the consent of their parents or legal guardians.

Automatically collected, non-personal information and "cookies". When you access our websites, information is collected automatically (i.e. not via registration) each time you do so and stored temporarily in a log file on our web servers; this information is not assigned to a specific person.
The following data is collected and temporarily stored until it is automatically deleted:

  • IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the retrieved data
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Message as to whether the retrieval was successful
  • Identification data of the browser and operating system used
  • Website from which the access was made

This data is only collected for the purposes of data security and to optimise our website. The data is not evaluated in any other way, except for statistical purposes and then always in anonymous form. No personal surfing profiles or similar are created or processed.
In general, you can install suitable tools for your browser that generally prevent tracking. Helpful here is, for example, the tool Ghostery (www.ghostery.com), which is available for the most common browsers.

The server log files are stored for a maximum of 21 days and then deleted. The data is stored for security reasons, e.g. to be able to clarify cases of abuse. If data must be retained for evidentiary reasons, it is exempt from deletion until the incident has been finally clarified.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on the Internet user's PC. Their purpose is, for example, to control the connection during your visit to websites. They contain purely technical information, no personal data.
We use the following cookies:

  • Session cookies, which enable the page to be called up more quickly and are deleted at the end of the session - also for our calendar "overplan.diakonisse.de",
  • for our donation form the security cookie of the "secure.spendenbank.de" of the BfS Bank

Data use

The personal data you provide to us via our website or by e-mail (e.g. your name and address or your e-mail address) will only be processed for correspondence with you and only for the purpose for which you provided us with the data. The information collected on this website will be passed on to the relevant unit within our organisation. We assure you that we will not disclose your personal data to third parties beyond this, unless we would be legally obliged to do so or you have given us your prior consent.

Insofar as we make use of service providers for the implementation and handling of processing procedures, the contractual relationships will be regulated in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act.

Consent and revocation

If you have provided us with personal data, you can have it deleted at any time. Data for billing and accounting purposes are not affected by a cancellation/revocation or deletion. Personal data provided to us via our website will only be stored until the purpose for which it was entrusted to us has been fulfilled. Insofar as retention periods under commercial and tax law must be observed, the storage period for certain data may be up to 10 years. If you no longer agree to the storage of your personal data or if this data has become incorrect, we will arrange for the deletion or blocking of your data or make the necessary corrections (insofar as this is possible under the applicable law) upon your instruction. Upon request, we will provide you with information free of charge about all personal data we have stored about you.

Please send your revocation or questions regarding data protection in our company as well as possible requests for information to us by email or post (see imprint).

Updating this data protection declaration

If we introduce new products or services, change Internet procedures or if Internet and EDP security technology develops further, this "data protection declaration" will be updated. We therefore reserve the right to amend or supplement the declaration as required. We will publish the changes here. You should therefore visit this website regularly to find out about the current status of the data protection declaration.

Liability

All information contained on this website has been checked with great care. However, we cannot guarantee that the content of our own web pages is correct, complete and up to date at all times.

Data security

In general, the Internet is considered an insecure medium. Compared to a telephone line, for example, it is easier for unauthorised third parties to intercept, record or even alter the transmission of data on the Internet.

Conclusion

We guarantee the confidentiality and security of your personal data in that

  • we use your personal data, insofar as you communicate it to us via our website or in the context of e-mail communication, only to fulfil your request or concern,
  • our employees are bound by confidentiality obligations,
  • our security precautions are reasonably state of the art,
  • our systems are regularly checked for security so that we can provide lasting protection against any damage, loss or access to data held by us,
  • and that our data protection officer ensures that the "data protection declaration" is observed.
